Laptop Program

The Norwood Morialta High School (NMHS) is committed to providing its students with a quality, internationally recognised education that prepares them for their future life.

A 1-to-1 laptop program means students have a range of ways to complete any set task allowing each student to be able to connect globally, learn collaboratively and use their laptop as a creative ideas device.

Students at NMHS are expected to have a laptop with them at each of their lessons.

There will be three options available to the students of NMHS in 2018.

Option 1 - Purchase a laptop through the Learning with Technologies link online orders

Option 2 - Purchase your own personally selected laptop that meets NMHS educational requirements as listed below.

PC/Windows
Windows 8 or above
64bit operating system
i3 or better processor
4Gb of RAM or better
8 hour battery life
10 GB of free space for school software

Apple
MacBook Air 6 (Mid 2013) or better
Windows emulation Parallels http://www.parallels.com/au/ or bootcamp https://www.apple.com/au/support/bootcamp/
Windows installed by owner

NB: Chromebooks and Tablets do not meet the school’s minimum requirements

Option 3 - Borrow a NMHS loan laptop for a fee - $100 for the year, $25 for the term or $5 for a week (NB these laptops are lower spec and without a solid state drive which is more susceptible to ‘bump’ damage and consequent data loss.)
