The Norwood Morialta High School community is delighted to announce the outstanding South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) results achieved by our Class of 2019.

This impressive achievement is indicative of the hard work, passion and tenacity that our students displayed throughout the year. These results also reflect the great passion, skills and professionalism of our teachers who support our students to flourish in their learning and life and make Norwood Morialta the local school of choice.

2019 GOVERNOR’S COMMENDATION AWARD

Riya MENON

The Governor of South Australia Commendation acknowledges and celebrates overall excellence in the South Australian Certificate of Education. The award recognises excellent achievement in Year 12 subjects as well as success in developing the SACE capabilities both within and beyond school. In 2019 only 28 students were selected from across the state. We are very proud of Riya’s achievement and appreciative of her outstanding service to our school and community. Riya Menon is a most worthy recipient.

The 2019 SACE highlights include:

  • 241 students successfully completed their SACE
  • 51 subjects were studied by our Year 12 students
  • 17 students achieved a total of 23 Merits across 15 subjects, including:

  • 65 A+ grades
  • A total of 422 A grades (33.3%)
  • 23 (9.9%) students achieved an ATAR above 95
  • 48 (18.8%) students achieved an ATAR above 90
  • 97 (40%) students achieved an ATAR above 80
  • 79.6% of all grades for 2019 are in the A and B bands
  • The median ATAR was 74.85.
