Start of Year Information


Norwood International High School staff will welcome all Year 7, 8 and 12 students to campus by 8:30am on Wednesday 2 February. Those students undertaking a hybrid Stage 1/Stage 2 program or the new International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) will also be able to attend school and face-to-face lessons.

Lessons will commence at 8:45am with an Extended Connect class for these students only.

Hybrid Stage 1/Stage 2 students will only attend face-to-face lessons for their Stage 2 (Year 12) classes. They can negotiate to undertake their Stage 1 (Year 11) remote studies either at home or supervised in the Learning Hub.

Norwood International Year 9-11 students will also start their learning program on Wednesday 2 February, however remotely. Year 9-11 students will be expected to join their Connect class for their first lesson at 10:25am (Lesson 3), followed by other online classes according to their timetable and Daymap instructions. The school day will start at 8:45am from Thursday 3 February (with the exception of 9:40am on Wednesdays).

Photos take on this day will be used for the student ID card that students must bring with them every day to school.

Photos will be taken in 2022 by EventPhoto on Friday 11 February.

Laptop Program

The Norwood International High School (NIHS) is committed to providing its students with a quality, internationally recognised education that prepares them for their future life.

A 1-to-1 laptop program means students have a range of ways to complete any set task allowing each student to be able to connect globally, learn collaboratively and use their laptop as a creative ideas device.

Students at NIHS are expected to have a laptop with them at each of their lessons.

The NIHS Laptop Program offers two options:

Option 1

Purchase the Lenovo ThinkPad L13 laptop

Please note that your order will get sent to your home. Further to this please make sure you order in a timely manner as there is up to a 12 week + shipping timeframe.

Option 2 

Borrow a NIHS loan laptop for $240 per year. A loan option is available for families experiencing financial hardship by completing an application to be approved by the principal. To apply for this you need to fill in the form below.
