Rowing

Rowing 1

Rowing is offered to all students at The Norwood Morialta High School. Rowers train and compete from September throught to April.

Throughout this period, regattas are held on Saturdays, at venues including the Torrens, West Lakes and Murray Bridge. The regattas are run by the SA Rowing Association (SARA) and involve school crews, as well as club and master rowers.

The Head of the River Regatta is the last regatta of the season and is a spectacular event, marking the culmination of the season.

Rowing 2The Rowing Club builds a strong sense of community.
Rowers have the opportunity to mix across age groups, with more experienced rowers encouraged to take up leadership roles.

We also value parents as a vital part of the rowing community.
There are plenty of events throughout the year, whose success relies on parental involvement.
Parents are encouraged to become actively involved, through attending regattas and social events held by the club.
Our Parent Support Group welcomes parents who are interested in helping with the organisation of various fundraising events and functions throughout the year.

I look forward to working closely with you in the coming season.
